I have had some Credit Issues in the past and I don’t know if I can qualify.
Many people believe that their credit may not be good enough to qualify for a home loan, they are unsure about credit requirements and what their credit scores are and they have very little understanding about what it takes to improve their credit. Most people believe that their credit history needs to be “perfect”, or at least a credit score of 700 or above to buy a home. There are programs that require a 580 credit score or less and many programs that only require a 620 or 640 credit score. We have helped hundreds of Buyers improve their credit and raise their credit scores in a short period of time. We work with Lenders who review your credit report without cost or obligation, and we are always available to help you with that process. Our suggestion is that if you want to STOP PAYING RENT now is the best time to see what your credit is like. Many people are eligible for a home loan right now. If not, we will review your credit with you in detail, make suggestions regarding what items (if any) might need some attention and provide you with a timetable for how long it might take to get your credit to where it needs to be.
I Suggest That If You Have Serious Thoughts About Buying A Home, Even If It Might Be Six Months Or Even A Year In The Future, Now Is A Great Time To Start Exploring The Home-Buying Process So That You Can Prepare Yourself With A Game Plan!
If you find that there may be some issues that will delay your timeframe for making your purchase, it is good to find that out now so that you can work out the issues before you start looking seriously and find Your Perfect Home! For example, if you are currently renting a house and you are paying your rent with money orders, that can be a problem on some of the home loan programs that you may be eligible for. Some programs require that a Buyer provide cancelled checks for their past 12 months rent and they can not use copies of money orders as proof of rent payment. So, the more you know now, in advance, the smoother the home-buying process will be for you.
We have found that the best way to help Buyers is by getting started with a brief visit, usually about 15 minutes, so that we can learn about their situation, review their job history, income, monthly payment obligations and their credit history. After that, we can discuss in detail the different home loan options they might be eligible for and what they need to do to purchase a home. If there are any credit issues, we can usually help with those and get their credit to where it needs to be within 30 days to 6 months.
